Vidal Blanc

Vidal is a fun, fruity grape. Ours comes from Southern Indiana, in Posey County. Vidal blanc is a French American Hybrid grape that was developed after the p. Hybridizer Albert Seibel created it from the parents Ugni Blanc and Rayon D'Or. The acidity in Vidal is naturally high, but ususally makes a light, crisp wine. Easley uses Vidal Blanc to make it's dry Vidal Blanc white wine, and also uses it to blend in our Governor's line of wines.

Zinfandel at Easley's

Zinfandel grapes arrived last week and have been hanging out on the skins. We have now pressed them and this new adventure has begun. The origin of the zinfandel grape is Italy. It generally makes a dry, spicy wine. Many of our home wine making customers have decided to also embark on a winemaking journey with this grape. Good luck to everyone
